    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to everyone for the reason that being sufficient in English and writing will take you far in life.

    Course highlights:

We worked a lot with poetry and prose throughout the year. It was very interesting to learn about all the different types of speech and sentence structure and how each kind fit into a different writing style such as research papers, poems, short stories, or plays. Being able to understand how to coherently construct a paper or argument is vital at this time in your life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course, be sure to set aside time at night to reread things you did in class to solidify your understanding and continue your knowledge. When you are handed packets of reading and told that they are optional, I would high suggest you read them because they will end up benefitting you and your success in that class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Taking an AP English class was the most difficult thing I have done and the most rewarding. I'll tell you why. It's not only bound to swamp you with essays, but it also requires an immense grasp on literature analysis. It creates this black hole that makes you feel like you will never find your way out, but the moment to start to see a gleam of light. Hope arises, and you begin to write the most amazing essays, they become so well developed that you begin to doubt you ever wrote it.

    Course highlights:

I was definitely able to develop my writing skills, and learned to create a support basis to any of my essays. Always making sure that my writing made the most sense possible. In the beginning of this course i definitely thought I was a pretty awesome writer, but then reality slapped me straight in the face and I realized that I was really terrible. Nevertheless, I stuck with the course and learned an abundance of new writing skills that are bound to benefit me in the future.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend that you prepare yourself for all the work you will be getting because if you think one essay in two weeks is difficult to do, just think an essay in an hour. Yeah, it's pretty grueling but worth every second.
