    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it helps you with analysis of literature and prepares you for writing essays in your college classes. Also, by completing the course through concurrent credit, you can receive college hours, which is much cheaper than paying for the college course while in college.

    Course highlights:

By taking this class, I learned how to analyze literature ranging from poems to short stories to entire novels, and how to utilize the setting the author lived in and other factors that may have affected their writing in the analysis.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, you will need to stay on top of the classwork and reading, because you never know when a pop quiz will appear over the reading you forgot to do the night before!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Lit can be very difficult, but overall, it has helped me become a better writer. We write and analyze a lot of things in there and it has helped me understand different types of literature.

    Course highlights:

I've learned a lot more about analyzing literature and how to do it more effectively. I can now understand poems better and tricky passages because of what I've learned on analyzing things.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Spend time on your essays and if you're confused you should ask questions. It can be confusing at times but don't be scared to ask questions. Think about things and when analyzing try to dig deeper to get the real meaning of it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because so far it has been very beneficial to me. I have learned how to better express my ideas. We have also read some interesting works of literature like the Great Gatsby.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different writing movements that took place. I learned to better understand harder works of literature. I have learned to write a bomb essay in under an hour.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say do not procrastinate, because it comes back to bite you in the butt. I would also say do not be afraid to ask for help from classmates or the teacher.
