    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It opens up one's boundaries and broadens one's perspective at how one looks at a topic. It also increases one's vocabulary and enhances one's essay perhaps.

    Course highlights:

We have read multiple books, one of my favorites is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and she has characterized the characters in a very complex way, so the reader can determine just how they feel about the character.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to read a lot and you need to put in efforts in and out of the classroom. It's not that it's hard, it's just that it's very complex to grasp at first.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs.Hall is a great teacher. The reading is difficult but it is worth all the knowledge you gain from Mrs.Hall. Learning about the allusions we hear all the time through mainstream media is quite fascinating as well.

    Course highlights:

It was fun to read novels and short stories and discuss them with my classmates. Novels like Wuthering Heights and stories like a rose for emily. It was fun to talk about how much we hate Heathcliff and Catherine Linton and talk how annoying nick Carroway from The Great Gatsby is. It was nice to build a genuine respect for everyone in my class and to know they felt the same way I did.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material!! Always read! It is a literature class reading is almost your entire grade. Don't try to slide by and be lazy and not work because it's a difficult class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it helps you with analysis of literature and prepares you for writing essays in your college classes. Also, by completing the course through concurrent credit, you can receive college hours, which is much cheaper than paying for the college course while in college.

    Course highlights:

By taking this class, I learned how to analyze literature ranging from poems to short stories to entire novels, and how to utilize the setting the author lived in and other factors that may have affected their writing in the analysis.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, you will need to stay on top of the classwork and reading, because you never know when a pop quiz will appear over the reading you forgot to do the night before!
