    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it prepared me for the challenges of high school more than any other class. It is very time intensive and challenging, but I still passed the AP exam and learned a lot.

    Course highlights:

While this class is very hard and you will probably stay up till midnight finishing the reading notes, after finishing the class, I realized that if I could survive AP Euro, then I could succeed in any class. It truly prepared me for the harder classes that I took in the following years .

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise you to not procrastinate on the reading notes or note cards as they will catch up to you. Use your classmates and meet for study groups because they are extremely helpful in understanding and memorizing the information.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It provides a strong foundation for AP US History (Junior Year Course), and it is a very good introduction to AP classes because it is rigorous while manageable. I was very prepared for the AP test as well!

    Course highlights:

One highlight I recall is learning about the Cold War. Mr. Spiers made it very enjoyable and memorable by pulling out his Soviet Union fur hat, bottle of "Lenon-ade", and speaking in a Russian accent for a portion of the lecture. I will never forget the time period, all the way from the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 to the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are always on top of work; in other words, don't procrastinate or you will get behind because the book notes take a long time (for the better notes you take, the better the class). Also, listen and take notes during lecture; Spiers does a nice job of explaining, but you are not listening, you will fail the quizzes (they are a bit challenging).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course! Great teacher who really knows the material and helps you to understand it as well. If you put in the work he asks, you will be rewarded with success.

    Course highlights:

The teach is a highlight. He really knows what he is teaching which helps. He knows how to make class interesting so you're not falling asleep. Also, the work he asks you to do may seem like a lot, but it was all worth it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the work assigned to you. Do your reading and take good notes. Pay attention in class, the lectures really help everything to make sense. Don't procrastinate.
