    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I really feel like it is preparing me for college classes. I have learned that I have to actually read my textbook instead of just relying on note taking.

    Course highlights:

I have learned that I have to actually read my textbook instead of just relying on not taking. I have also learned that History really is important because things of the past lead to things that happen in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to actually read your textbook because if you do not read it you will be lost when it comes to quiz and exam time.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As a high school student taking concurrent credits, in my opinion, Mrs. Sandy is the best teacher at my high school who can teach at a real college level. In World Civ, I have learned all kinds of new things about the world's past, present, and future all in just one semester. I also can't wait to see what the next semester has in store.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about ancient Egypt in World Civilization. My favorite part was studying the kings and queens of ancient Egypt and how they were considered gods by the people and were worshiped. I also enjoyed learning about the religion of Islam and the Middle East. This lesson really brought me to reality and made me realize some things that I thought about the Middle East was wrong.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend anyone taking this course to be sure and keep up with the reading. It is boring, but it is also a life saver. Even if you find yourself zoning out during the lecture, the book could very well make up for it (as long as you read it).

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a great way to learn more about history as well as get prepared for college level work.

    Course highlights:

Some of my favorite moments of this course were the discussions and debates we had in class. We have gone over the topics of Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, along with other Ancient cultures.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be on top of things; procrastination will cause you to have a breakdown and will end in terror. Studying is a big part of this class. You will not do good on tests and quizzes if you do not.
