Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He was more than informative and very attentive. The best online professor I've had. He was constant and consistent with the announcements and made the extra credit activities as fun as they were enlightening.

    Course highlights:

The course started from the Columbian Exchange and ended at the post- Civil War. There was a huge emphasis on black history, which was appreciative as Prince Georges Community College is predominately African American.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest reading the chapters as soon as they are assigned, and to take notes on as much as possible including the quizzes. This level of preparedness will stop one from having to rush to collect information for the midterm or final.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Maginn really forces you to think but at the end of the course your knowledge base as it pertains to American history is a bit more diverse. He talks about everything they neglect to teach you in other history courses. We even touched on a bit of European history so we could make connections between the two.

    Course highlights:

We covered about 400 years of history in 15 short weeks. The most interesting section pertained to westward expansion and how it relates to slavery. Very very mind-boggling.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Professor Maginn has office hours. USE THEM!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course because it taught me a lot about the history of our country and changed my view on life.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how woman became more powerful an example is when they were spies in the Civil war and made big impacts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study your notes and textbook every day.
