    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to someone who is willing to know more about the basic about computers. It is good to learn more about computers, even if you already have some prior background knowledge about technology.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are learning the basic about computers, what they are made up of, and what a computer is made up of. The course also covers information about different computer users type, peripherals, software, OS, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend students to just stay on top of their work. It's important to manage your time in any class that you may have during the semester. Also do not be afraid to take plenty of notes in and out of class and ask questions about anything.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is the basic IT course for students interested in this field and you learn a lot if you are not as familiar with the IT concepts.

    Course highlights:

Although this course is a lot of work during the summer it is very rewarding because you learn basic IT concepts, complete multiple choice questions and word and excel assignments on line, and complete a research paper in six phases.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Before taking this course, do some background IT research because it will pay off during the course, and be prepared for plenty of online exercises and a research paper which is all done in 5 weeks in a summer session.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was not an enjoyable class for me, but mostly because I already knew most of the material, making it feel like it went by pretty slowly. But its a great class to take if you're not so comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access. Or basic html coding. It was interesting though to learn a bit more about what makes a computer.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the sections about how a computer works, and the use of different aspects like the RAM and hard drive.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Thorough reading of the text really helps a lot, especially if you read the chapter before its discussed in class.
