When taking Calculus, I recommend that you always do your homework and do it on time. If you don't, you could fall behind. Each lesson builds upon another so it is important to have practice.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it really focused on applying math and using it in the real world. However, the course was quite the challenge, it took up a lot of time and throughout the course there were units that were very difficult to understand. It was definitely worth it though.
Course highlights:
When I started this course I had no idea what a derivative was, and even more so what an anti derivative was. After taking the course though I fell very well versered in the basics of calculus. Another things that was taught in the class was velocity and acceleration, this went right along with derivatives and anti derivatives, but I found it very interesting because before this course I thought I knew what velocity and acceleration were, but after going through this class I realized that there is a lot more to it.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
If you could do one thing to help you study and do well in the class it would to date the homework. There is never that much homework but just because there isn't a ton of homework doesn't mean that you don't do it. Doing your homework not boosts your grade because it will be put in the grade book, but it helps to prepare you for the tests. In addition, do the study guides, they outline the test and will give you an edge when the test comes around.
