Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend math AB Calculus because it challeges you in ways you could have never though of and forces you to collaborate with your classmates in order to obtain a better understanding towards the course.

    Course highlights:

At first I felt discouraged to take the class because I struggled throughout honors pre-calculus since I would never collaborate. I understand know that attending tutoring and forming study groups is a easier way of studying than trying to learn everything by myself. Overall, do not ever get discourage with collaborating with students, who you think are super smart. If you just put the effort with having open discussions on the material, you can get a better understanding and recieve higher test scores.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class split the math probelms when collaborating amongst other students. You can always come back to the problems you did not go over with on your free time. Note, that there is a difference between studying and doing your homework. Go to tutoring if you are ever struggling in any course not only math.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend because in college this level of math is the foundation for a lot of courses. So regardless of what your major is, calculus may be involved some way so by not taking this course you are left at a disadvantage. To get a head start on the competition I highly recommend taking this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was applying the math to the real world. Often times students are frustrated with math because they see no value of the math outside of the classroom but this course is the exact opposite. In calculus you will learn a variety of tools that will help you in real world problems and jobs that you may have in the future.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class it will require endurance and motivation. Naturally the course will bring you trouble but you must endure through all the difficult problems and questions you have. You won't master calculus right away so you have to keep trying no matter how many times you fail. In addition you must be motivated to put in extra hours of work to learn the material you are struggling with. The teacher can only help so much so you have to rely on yourself to make the right choices that will benefit your future in the clss.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Calculus is the foundation for anything math related so by completing or even attempting this course it gives you an advantage others may not have.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was seeing how the material we learned was applied to real life since the main concern with math students is that they want to see when they will use what they learned in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Create study groups and constantly review notes because the rigor of this class can't be done all on your own. Also don't be afraid to ask questions it makes you smarter.
