Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for the fact that it is a requirment but at the same time if a person who's interested in majoring in the biochemistry field, chemistry is a must to take and it's so important to understand it.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of this course would be the time when the teacher blew up a bucket to show us an example of combustion. Through out the course I was able to memorize almost all of the periodic table. As well as working with all the different instruments used in the labs.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the homework and if you don't understand something go to tutoring. You do not want to fall behind in this course. There is a a ton on memorization as well so index cards are a huge help when studying for any of the tests that will be given.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this course at an honors level and it was very beneficial I maintained a B throughout the year. I recommend that you get familiar with the instruments used (i.e. beakers, funnels, etc..) and also with the periodic table. I highly recommend taking this class at an honors level if you enjoy labs because we did a lot more than the regular prep classes.

    Course highlights:

My highlight would definitely have to be the math portion of the class. I loved working with the periodic table, the protons, electrons, ions, etc..

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your work and have fun. This class shouldn't be too stressful if you stay on track.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because I found it to be one of the funnest classes at Chaffey High School. Mrs. Jones was a great teacher and made sure that all of her student had a successful year.

    Course highlights:

The understanding of the periodic table was the most important. Without that everything in the class would just be a blur. Stoichiometry was also another HUGE topic because combining two or more elements was important when doing certain labs; like titrations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just being really interested in the sciences would make this class much much better! If you're interested in BioChemistry, then this would be a great class!
