Course Overview:
To put this is linear terms, passing Advanced Algebra is the halfway point on your "math path" from your first high school math class, to the worst possible thing you could do to your GPA; beginning AP Calculus.
Course highlights:
Most of the content will be review and application of what you've learned in Algebra and Geometry, while still learning all-new concepts; like imaginary numbers, and the unit circle.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
If math is neither your strong suit, or end game, don't take this class. Business Math is a great alternative that will still give you your required math graduation credits, while toning down the intensity and using more "real-world" scenarios/applications. If you're anywhere from not minding math to it being your favorite subject, this is for you. Best advice I can give you is practice. Work through ALL the practice problems, especially if the chapter covers something completely new. Also don't be afraid to ask your teacher for help; it's what they're there for.
