Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP United States History showed me the complexities and the nuances of America's past. from looking at our history from various lenses, I learned about the successes and failures of the country. The class was extremely engaging and challenged students to think critically.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course required a lot of work, it was worth it at the end of the year because her students learned a lot about Americal history as well as the patterns history has followed over the years. Additionally, she provided plenty of material including overly difficult tests, practice AP tests, and study guides for each chapter in the textbook.

    Course highlights:

A lot of misconceptions I had about history were cleared up while I took this course. Additionally, I learned the truth about the history of wars in American history and how some of the battles actually played out.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Time management is key for AP US History. Almost all of the study guides in this course are due when there are quizzes or tests, so it is crucial to work on assignments a little bit each day in order to avoid cramming many assignments in one night. In order to decrease stress, focus most of your attention on overarching patterns in history rather than attempting to memorize all of the small details. It is an important skill for the AP exam.
