    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I believe APUSH was one of the most challenging, yet rewarding class of high school. It requires so much dedication and hard-work, which overall built me as a character. Assignments due every Friday, along with reading quizzes quickly add-up in terms of work load, but it is definitely something every one should experience. At the end of the year, you reflect on how far you've overcome, and it all pays off.

    Course highlights:

I gained a year's worth of college level history in a high school setting, which was less intense. The course was factual based, so lots of reading and studying were involved and a discussion was often the following class period. Additionally, many small assignments were assigned daily for a presentation the next class, which became second nature. This lightened up the mood because the class is so intense, that the option to present information from a different point of view enabled one to get a different insight on events in history.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend staying on track as far as the reading and note taking. It is easier to slack off in this class because he only gives out a quiz that can be discovered online, but focusing and doing your own work is more beneficial, since the online answers wont be accessible for the AP test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was very challenging and required a lot of time and effort; however, it helped me prepare for other college courses. The information taught in this class was very interesting and made me want to learn more about our country.

    Course highlights:

I gained and furthered many skills in this class that will help me throughout the remainder of my education. These skills included how to manage my time, how to properly study for AP testing, and how to work well in a group setting.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Use your resources! Many times I used my book, course notes, and YouTube videos to assist me in completing assignments and studying fro exams. Also, make sure to complete all of the homework and classwork, because even one missing assignment can drop your grade.
