    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

You'll never be so excited about history, you'll learn about the complex connections between every event in each US administration throughout the modern era.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part about this course was getting to research feminism throughout the 20th century, women fighting for suffrage, the birth control pill, the Feminine Mystique, Gloria Steinem, etc. I also was able to do a whole research project on women serving in the armed forces during WWII. It was a ton of fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class. Watch documentaries and make sure your chosen research is something you're actually interested in, or else it will be pure torture.

Somewhat difficult class but very fun, especially for history lovers like myself.

    Course highlights:

Intriguing and entertaining information for anyone that loves history. I was an avid history buff before, but learned much through this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and study the lessons repeatedly.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

IB History of the Americas is a very challenging and enlightening course, and because of that I would recommend it highly. Not only have I learned about the past 100-odd years, but I have learned valuable skills such as how to cite eligible sources, how to write a comprehensive essay in a limited amount of time, and how to look at history from multiple different perspectives.

    Course highlights:

The highlight, for me, was learning about the differences and similarities between presidents, starting with Teddy Roosevelt. In the era of Trump, it's great to know what past presidents were like and how they differ from our leaders of today.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention! The class can move pretty quickly, as there is a lot of information to consume. With that being said, it's also a good idea to take lots of notes. If you miss a few notes, go online and find them!
