    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

First of all, physics is an observation of the most amazing thing to ever exists and how it functions- the universe. That in itself is reason enough to take this class. But if you want to push yourself and surround yourself in an environment of pure intellectual growthand love of knowledge take this class.

    Course highlights:

The class and teacher, Mr. Kern, instilled a love for learning in me and open my eyes to the wonders of knowledge and the universe. Mr. Kern lit up my mornings with his love and excitement for physics and he spread that love with all of us. I learnt about the world and physics! But I definitely learned much more from Mr. Kern about how to be a loving, caring, positive person.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work, take notes, and enjoy! Train your brain to focus because if you zone out in the middle of class, the board will look like chinese! Physics is deep and complex, so make sure the concepts make sense to you before you try to solve the problems (Yes, I know this requires more work... But you can do it!)

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it does have an engineering component if that is what you are looking to study after high school. However, even though this is a CP class, the homework load is quite heavy so don't go into this class thinking it is an easy A.

    Course highlights:

The engineering projects are always the most fun parts of this course. This year, for example, we designed a solar panel charging station for students to use if they want to charge their devices. Projects are very hands-on and simulate an engineering work environment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always doing the homework is the best way to study for the class since all homework assignments seem to teach you more than the actual teacher.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It gives a lot of lab skills that are helpful to working in a laboratory professionally

    Course highlights:

All the labs were very interesting. One that stood out was the biotechnology lab, where we isolated a plasmid to change the genome of bacteria.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't need to study much. There isn't really any homework.
