    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely would recommend it in that it helps you gain insight into the world around you.

    Course highlights:

The highlights, in my opinion, would have to be the unit on religion(s). I learned about numerous different faiths and it aided me in clearing any misconceptions I had once had about various religions.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course mainly focuses on why people are where they are geographically. It explores the cultural boundaries, socioeconomic limitations, topography, and other very interesting factors you wouldn't think influenced they people live where they do.

    Course highlights:

I find the social science aspect of the course to be very interesting. You learn about culturally significant rules and societal norms of different places throughout the world. The population unit about India I found particularly interesting, as in India having a son is highly preferred it plays a large contribution in the explosion of India's population as females get pregnant until they can produce a male. By 2020 India's population is expected to surpass China.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

There is a ton of vocabulary in the course, half of which is pretty self-explanatory or at least is related to its definition, while the others sound so far from its definition you have no choice but to memorize it. Vocab plays a large part in the course, especially if you're going to take the AP test in the spring. Luckily most of the vocabulary isn't far out there, most of them are concepts you easily understand or knew existed, you just didn't know it had a name.
