    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if the student intends on having a biology major. However, because of the new teacher, the course isn't well taught and will need extra effort and time in order to produce successful results in the class. The class maybe easy or difficult to follow along depending on the student's time managing and studying skills.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was the material that was taught. The course goes really in depth in the different areas of biology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study with friends and split up work. In my case, the teacher tends to overload the homework without really teaching the content of the work. My classmate and I depended on each other to learn about and explain the topic ourselves.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Biology at Ayala prepares highly motivated students very well for a college-level science course. It also crosses path with other science classes such as AP Chemistry and AP Physics. Not only will you everything you need to know for the AP exam, you also have the valuable opportunity to engage in extensive labs suh as biotechnology, enzyme reaction, and bacterial transformation.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned more than I could ever have anticipated. Not only did I gain a solid foundation in college-leave science to engage in a biomedical career in the future, I also learned the importance of time management and befriending textbooks.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

AP Biology is one of the most rigorous courses on campus. You will be confused or even overwhelmed at times, but the professor does a great job teaching the materials interactively and thoroughly, so don't be afraid to participate in class even if your responses might be wrong! Lastly, each unit has a great chunk of time-consuming homework known as QtCs. Definitely do not wait till last minute to start on those!
