    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The setup of this course, lectures to assignments ratio, and the lack of opportunity to gain points made this course very difficult and quite frustrating even for a good student.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course, I learned to analyze political choices and other actions for their geographic sources, what makes people do things in terms of their relation to their environment.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Write down everything in class. Even if you think something the professor says can't possibly be important, write it down. It could be the biggest and most specific question on the next exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The Professor did a great job giving lectures that contained all pertinent info for tests. He was always courteous and was great at involving students in discussions.

    Course highlights:

This course thoroughly explains the geography of the world. This includes why and how the world was split the way it was and the effects from that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to take thorough notes. It will help when it comes to studying for tests. Some of the questions are based on small segments of notes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course definitely exceeded my expectations. I originally thought that this class was going to cover where countries, cities, different terrains, etc. were located. However, it was much, much more.

    Course highlights:

This course helped me see the world in a bigger picture. It made me see how connected the world and how so many factors (such as weather, economics, politics, culture, etc.) interact within and between nations.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

While this course did not require much outside homework, it was absolutely detrimental that one took detailed notes and pay intense attention in this class. Also, the tests required that one frequently kept up with their notes and studied well prior to taking them.
