    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Kafouros's class is very rewarding. The work is hard, but it prepares you for any other AP classes you might take in the future

    Course highlights:

The debates were a blast! Being able to defend a point in real time helped me make sure I thoroughly understood an issue.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The vocab terms he gives you are hard. Be prepared to write a paragraph about each of the 30+ terms he gives you. Make sure to manage your time.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I never liked History, but now it's m favorite class. The curriculum covers everything from religions of the world, to ancient writing, Ancient Greece, and current Chinese culture. This class has really opened my eyes to how different we all are and how unique the world is.

    Course highlights:

This course directly teaches about history. So learning about different cultures, customs, and traditions is unique. The geography aspect, personally, is difficult. But other than that it's foundation is mainly about understanding different traditions and cultures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The curriculum is so broad, that you are bound to have subjects you like, as well as dislike. Learn to push through the topics you don't like. Take notes or do something that works with your learning styles.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who are willing to further understand the history of the United States and how the country has formed, developed and improved economically, politically and socially.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I learned how the United States became he independent country it is today, and how it developed since the 1400's up until the present.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class and also pass the AP exam, you MUST study. There is plenty of content in this course and very difficult to memorize if you wait until the end of the year. Content must be studied and reviewed in small chunks.
