    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it is very rigorous and challenging but rewarding. Throughout the course you will encounter different types and forms of literature. You will learn how to properly read and analyze poems and stories.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this class was having the opportunity to read so many novels with literary merit. I got to analyze characters and learned how to look deeper in the text to see the bigger picture. I enjoyed reading short stories with hidden twists.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot of your free time. There will be plenty of homework and reading to do outside of class. If you aren't really into reading and never do homework, this class isn't for you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took this course during my senior year of high school and it has by far been the most memorable course I have ever taken. The A.P. Literature and Composition program is a great foundation for college classes and challenges an individual to reach outside one's comfort zone.

    Course highlights:

I learned that shortcuts do not exist in college classes and to always use the brain one was given rather than the internet. My favorite quote that my Advanced Placement teacher always said was "You are your own Google". Always give 110% in everything that you do and stay true to your intelligence.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Though it may be tempting to avoid this course or drop it, do not. The A.P. Literature and Composition course is rewarding for an individuals future and prepares one for what actual college classes will be. Do not be afraid to challenge yourself; fore if you fail to do so, then what new knowledge can you gain?
