    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course overall is great! Throughout the year, you will brush up on simple biology, learning new hands-on concepts the further into the course. Specific labs are designed to pique your interest and give you time to reflect on what this means to an individual, a community, or a population as a whole. There's lots of room to grow in your knowledge of the subject. Also, the teacher is fantastic!

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about myself. While doing the labs that corresponded to our course, I realized what I was succeeding at and what I really enjoyed. This class has really fueled my interest in biology and has opened up the doors to pathways and careers that branch off of this class's information. I've been able to research a lot more about the human body and the world in general, and I believe if you put enough effort into this class, you will get a lot out of it.

    Advice for students:

Study hard! Read the material given to you, whether that be in a book, online, or an article, and concentrate in class by writing notes. Review definitions and big concepts, relating them to how this could apply not only to the chapter, but perhaps to something beyond. It will not hurt to study a concept outside of the study guide. Be prepared for every class.
