Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class requires a lot of memorization in order to do well. There are quizzes on a weekly basis. The quizzes are mostly based on the IB book or from lectures. For the Midterm, the teacher uses released IB or AP questions. In order to perform well in this class, I recommend making study guides with a fellow classmate for each lesson in the IB Book and keep track of your notes for each chapter.

    Course highlights:

The two biggest project in this course is Group 4 and the Internal Assessment. Group 4 is a group project that requires research on a particular topic. On the other hand, the IA is an individual project that requires experimental data.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep track of all your notes and Do Nows. Study parts of the lesson each day and avoid cramming for quizzes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because the material goes more into depth than a regular biology class. It pushes students to learn and understand the material through a college level.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be the songs our teacher created for us to memorize the material in this course easier. I learned songs about DNA and the life cycle that helped me pass tests with ease

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the homework the teacher gives out.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because it pushes students to learn about biology in a more rigorous manner. By taking this course, it helped determine the career I would pursue. This course delves into biology in more detail, which broadens everyone's understanding about life. Due to its rigorous manner, all the students strive to be the best, which, in my opinion pushes students to become better students.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is how every student in the class pushes each other to be the best version of themselves. Another highlight of this course was the teacher. He did not make learning feel like a chore, but rather something enjoyable. This course was one that I looked forward to each day. From this course, I learned more details about biology than a regular biology course, which increased my love for biology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice for students interested in taking this course is to stay on top of all the assignments. This course assigns one to two worksheets everyday on average, which allows students to understand the lesson better and counts for your grade too as well. Also, taking notes and highlighting your book is very helpful especially for section quizzes.
