    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is recommended for those interested in a challenge and in learning beyond what media and textbooks tell you. The class itself is work-intensive and extremely dense. The amount of substance needed to be covered will overwhelm, but it is not to say that the lessons and skills gained during this time has no value. I was extremely enlightened and satisfied with the outcome of taking the course and do not regret a single bit of the decision.

    Course highlights:

This course has so much substance that any essay requiring some form of knowledge easily can be answered through history lessons learned from this course. I learned about the most depressing times within U.S. history and how parts of history repeats itself and humans begin to lose track of what not to do and what to do. It has changed my perception of things on a multitude of levels and has helped me become a more aware and better writer.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Please do NOT take the course if you know you will be unmotivated or ill-willed. It takes a lot of will-power to have some form of success in this class and slacking-off and expecting a decent grade is not a reality. It is also group project and project intensive so DO NOT be the one who flakes and/or doesn't show up until the project has been finished. It requires many positive student attributes to make it through this course and actually extract USEFUL concepts from it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though the work is very tedious, Mr.Pacheco makes the class very enjoyable. He works hard to prepare us for the AP test and does a great job.

    Course highlights:

I learned history starting from about the mid 1400's to present day. We went though all the different eras and wars. Emphasis was placed on the Great Awakenings and the wars.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Write very detailed notes and pay attention when he lectures. Complete all the projects and be prepared for the debates.
