    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course touches on the complexity of chemistry and looks at some exceptions about the atoms, acids and bases, water, buffers, etc.,

    Course highlights:

The teacher offers very detailed and insightful lectures. He also assigns a lot of practice exercises and homework to bolster what the students learn in class. Every two weeks, students are assigned to design and perform a lab related to the lesson taught, such as titration, neutralization of acids and bases, etc. This hands-on lab allowed me to apply what I learned in class to create calculations, think of the procedures, and select the right materials for the experimentation. I learned a lot of researching and experimenting techniques that are very useful for my future study as a medical and researching student. One of the highlights of AP Chemistry is the instructor. He is willing to answer every question that the students ask, and he challenges us through a lot of advanced practice problems that encourage to think outside of the box, an approach that would be beneficial for students who wish to advance in STEM field.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and summarize the lessons that will be taught on the next day. Stay on track and do not fall behind on materials comprehension. The teacher is there to help you so do not be afraid to ask questions when you do not understand anything. Try to do a lot of practice problems before any exam. Schedule your study so that you can absorb all the necessary materials before the exams. About the Advanced Placement testing, purchase a practice book through the teacher. It contains practice problems in the exact format of the AP Exam. Do them ahead of time (3-4 months before the actual AP Exam) and ask the teacher to correct or explain anything you do not understand. Take advantages of all the resources about Chemistry and Research in Medicine, etc., that the teacher provides you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would most definitely recommend this class because you would be able to learn more about the elements and what happens during different reactions. This class will also improve your understanding of atoms, elements, and ions.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was being able to do different types of labs and learning if our hypothesis would have the same outcome. I was able to learn how to convert units, which is quite helpful in the everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I think the most important part of chemistry is KNOW YOUR MATERIAL. Some parts of chemistry can be easy but once you get confused about something, it is important to ask for help because it is not possible continuing to learn the next chapter if the previous chapter is unclear.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

THe teacher is willing to tell us about everything in that topic. He would add in such useful videos and worksheets that are super necessary for understanding the lessons. Every week, there would be labs where we get to work in groups, develop leadership skills and implement the skills that we've learned to make the right products in a reaction.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to deeply love chemistry in this course. The hightlight would be making ice cream using really simple things in our every day life. We bonded with each other and had a lot of fun

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend you looking at the coursebook first or look on the Khan Academy website to get some glimpse about the course. Always try hard and listen to every lecture. Moreover, keep your notes, EVERY of them because you're gonna need them in the future, especially finals
