Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course really taught me the basics and complexities of English. It taught me how to be a better writer, speaker, and student. The class was hard in some ways, just like all classes, but at the same time, it was broken down well enough for me to understand. Ms. Lo is intimidating at first, but she really pushes you to your best abilities. If I could go back to this class, I would in a heart beat.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the focus on the AP test in May. We really learned the structure of the test inside out. Each quarter, we would focus on one particular essay type and multiple choice questions. Because of this class, I felt confident on my AP exam.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do your essays!! If you have any questions regarding your writing or anything really, don't be afraid to ask questions. A lot of the work is based on group effort, so make sure you work with your members and not on your own! Also, make sure you study the vocabularies instead of just memorizing them! Those words will definitely help you become a better writer

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class helps develop necessary traits that can help one academically as well as in the real world. From reading books that are impossible to put down to writing four page essays, it's rigorous but greatly valuable.

    Course highlights:

I've improved my communication skills, reading skills, and writing skills. I've learned how to incorporate literary and rhetorical devices into most of my works in and outside of class. My vocabulary has broadened and my speech has advanced greatly thanks to this class' curriculum.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I must say studying and being determined are major components of doing great in this class. By reviewing concepts you learn in class, one will do exceptionally well in class. As long as one doesn't give up, one will succeed.
