Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Psychology is one of the most interesting classes I have been able to take, because it's all about how and why humans behave and experience the things we do. This was the easiest AP course I have taken out of the 6 I've completed in high school, and by far my favorite. Mr. Hightower made the course material very easy to understand and relate to by providing plenty of examples for each concept we studied. This class did require daily homework, but this was never a nuisance, as it was always a reasonable amount and included fun assignments such as creating posters and visual mind- maps from notes taken out of the textbook.

    Course highlights:

This course has inspired me to pursue a Psychology degree in college. The studies covered information ranging from the anatomy of the brain and nervous system, to how people learn, to addiction, to human interaction and relationships.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Although there is not much homework every night, it is important to stay caught up with the daily reading and notes in order to be able to effectively follow along and build on that information the next day in class. Try to connect the lessons to personal experiences and examples as this will greatly enhance your understanding of each topic and how it relates to the real world.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was not only educational but the learning environment was really interactive and mostly interesting because every topic was relatable in one way or another.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much depth about the human brain and different interactions we all faced once before. The overall basis of the course is the foundation of psychology and the different types of psychology but once you understand different view points you are able to talk about any topic. The unconscious mind was a important part of this course because it is so mysterious.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Whatever reading assignment is given, DO IT! The reading is more interesting than most textbooks and is truly the answer key to the weekly quizzes and tests.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is extremely valuable, interesting information that is good to have. I would never recommend this course if a student was not an avid reader. This class is a ton of vocabulary and comprehension and the material is somewhat hard to understand so it definitely requires a lot of diligent reading.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot in this course, things I would've never thought twice about. The most interesting thing I learned in this course was about memory. It really boggles your mind thinking about your mind and what information it can store and for how long and in what part. Truly worth taking if your mind is interested.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

READ READ READ! Don't blow it off because it is an elective. It will kill your GPA if you don't take it seriously and it is too interesting to waste a bad grade on.
