Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are like me and learn best by applying what you just learned but also have a hard time making yourself do it on your own, then Boggs is the teacher for you. He goes over the material in class and then immediately gives you a problem involving what you just learned so that you can practice while its still fresh in your head. Also, he is right there and easy to go to if you have question or get stuck. You can tell he enjoys his work a while he is strict on having no late assignments, he has also been very understanding when things happen out of your control.

    Course highlights:

ITP 100 is great for understanding the structure of programming. I am currently taking Java now, and it is so much easier because I already understand the structure and have practiced problem solving with pseudo code.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's probably admonitory, but even if it isn't, it is a wise choice to take it and it will make your life so much easier if you are planning to learn other programming languages. As long as you do the in class practices and homework assignments, you have already prepared pretty well for the tests.
