    Course Overview:

    The course really challenges you to interpret the message within the work and explore different authors.

    Course highlights:

    Highlights included open discussion form the works we read which really gives you different perspectives on the same work. I learned about many different authors I had not read before and how their styles differed and how they impacted future writers and readers.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Look further that the surface of the writing to find deeper meaning within the words.

    Course Overview:

    I would definitely recommend taking her if you are gonna be studying at NOVA. She is the best teacher and you will learn a lot. your critical thinking skills will develop.

    Course highlights:

    One of the most important think i learned in this class was to be able to apply my critical thinking skills into test.

    Advice for students:

    Prof. Casal is a great teacher. She engages her students in the class discussions. Do the reading before the class and you will be all set.

    Very knowledgeable and passionate.

    Learning every single class. Challenging me through the course and giving me a better understanding of American Literature.
