Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for people who have a hard time speaking in public. I happen to fall into this category, and I found this class to be interesting and it helped me build up my courage when it comes to public speaking.

    Course highlights:

In this course you learn how to communicate with people easier as well as practice your public speaking skills. You have to give a presentation on a topic of your choosing which makes it easier on yourself because you get to talk about something you genuinely enjoy.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you come prepared to speak. It might be a little difficult for those who aren't well spoken. Thankfully, your professor usually takes that into account and helps you however they can.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course actually helped me with public speaking. At first i thought i wouldn't survive this course but at the end, i got an "A" in all my speeches and at the end of the class. The professor was a great help. She had a lot of knowledge and experience especially in this field and made me feel comfortable as much as possible anytime I stood in front of the class to speak. One amazing thing was that, though about 5 people dropped the class, those of us who stayed did great till the end. On the last day of class i was surprised to see about 27 students in class even though majority had said their speeches and it was left with only three speeches that day. Even before we left class that day, Professor Vick gave us some advice like a mother would.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of important things about public speaking. Such as good eye contact, good preparation and speech outline, how to appear in front of an audience, body language and gestures among others. We had two major exams, three major speeches, three minor speeches and one written speech report. All of these were very interesting and helped in preparing all of the students especially me towards speaking confidently in public in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Look through the list of professors, ask your advisors about them, read the comments other students have written about them and choose the professor you know will help you a lot not just in helping you finish assignments quickly but that professor who would impact you and leave you with a lot of information for the future. Also, don't be shy of the professor you choose. Interact with that professor a lot especially when you have problems regarding the coursework. Finally, try as much as possible to participate in group projects and in any other class activities and know that studying isn't easy but when you put a little effort into it you can make it.
