Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to anyone that does not understand how 911 communications works. There is a lot of information handled with the call before it goes out to police over the radio.

    Course highlights:

The highlights from this course is learning the CAD system and what type of information goes on it. The amount of information that you can add that would appear on the officer's screen as they are dispatched to a call. You can add information so the officer would remain safe as they approach a call that is in progress. This job is about safety as keeping the public safe as well as the officers. You get first hand knowledge about how this side of the operation works. It starts with the 911 call to dispatchers. I gained so much respect for this field.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I have is to show up for class when scheduled. Every class has important information. Take notes and ask questions if you do not understand something. This instructor is so wonderful, that she goes above and beyond to help you. She made sure we understood everything thing that she was teaching. She makes time for her students.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in the field of criminal justice, this class is definitely for you. First responders work a suspenseful shift dispatching important information.

    Course highlights:

The main priority is to keep the person on the other line calm while sending for help. CAD, is a tool to find automatic information when 9-11 is dialed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise to take many notes, as well as testing your typing skills. Buy a textbook that explains the course and watch 9-11 dispatching videos.
