    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The material is extremely interesting and Ms. Simpkins is a really awesome teacher. You really begin to understand the very basics of biology and the fine details of life processes. If you are interested in going into the medical field, you need to take this class.

    Course highlights:

While learning about cell signaling, you learn about cancer and other signalling issues.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it!! You won't regret it.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Regarding this course, I do not have particular strong feelings about recommendation either way. This is because it is up to an individuals general insight on the topic and course, and how they will handle an Advanced Placement class.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot of general knowledge in this course that has still been very beneficial to me today. Something you will learn is the basic cells and body systems for living and non-living organisms. There are several highlighted moments but the one that stands out the most is that this course is hands on. Biology encourages students to work with others and collaborate on labs and experiments in order to achieve knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

TO be successful in this course, you must participate. Biology is only fun if you make it fun, and you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy yourself with experiments and labs.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a great opportunity to learn more about living organisms as well as the environment. The labs we participate in allow the students to have a better understanding of the topic.

    Course highlights:

In 10th grade, I had already taken biology, but it was a pre-AP course... This year, I am taking AP biology. The highlights of this course are the class discussions. Without these discussions, I would not have a stronger grasp on the information taught.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do NOT take the labs for granted -- I made that mistake in the first lab we participated in and I did not understand the quiz which covered the information learned in the lab.
