    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This might be a useful course at other schools but at this school it really isn't a helpful class. This course was mostly just an excuse to play musical chairs during school. Honestly, most of the time we sat in class on our phones because we weren't doing anything.

    Course highlights:

There really wasn't any highlights. The only thing I learned was the Cornell note taking method which I was also taught in geography, so it didn't really teach me anything.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you basically just need to show up sometimes.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Although it may be a helpful course in other schools, in our school AVID is just an excuse to play musical chairs in school.

    Course highlights:

This course really didn't have any highlights and the only thing I learned from it was the cornell note taking process, which I also learned in my geography class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Seriously, I would only take it if you were not sure you were going to college. If you already know you're going to college and you're driven on you're own, there's no point in taking it.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. It isn't for everybody, and I myself took three years of it after the Fall 2012 semester, before switching to study hall. However, I did think that it was very helpful overall, in getting students like myself organized, teaching us how to work together, and how to keep up in school with our other classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot from this course, such as organizational skills, teamwork and social skills through working with new people. I also learned how to generate questions about subjects and other classes, and how to present these questions for help from my classmates, in something known as tutorials.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is to keep up. This class is not for everyone, but it is helpful, whether in short or long term. That being said, there are things that need to be done in this class weekly, and it is a bad idea to fall behind.
