    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I probably wouldn't recommend it because you don't learn about the United States and its history in that class. You learn mainly about today's politics and controversies. You don't learn about the politics of the past or how they shaped the US. Also, the teacher is offensive and she does not care who she offends. She says some of the most out there things and thinks its okay to say that in a classroom setting. I didn't learn much in this class. If you're looking to just learn about today's politics I'd recommend a current events class and not this one. In this class you don't actually learn about the history of the US. I don't recommend this class.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights were projects we got to do on our own. They were very tedious and thorough but they were fun. I learned a brief overview of the history of the US, but I feel like we could have learned more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you always take notes during lecture and from the book. On the test she will pull from both even if she does not mention the chapter at all. Also, on most of the questions they are opinion based so you will need to think like her to get them right.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definite recommend it to a fellow student. it would be a jump start on a college credits, which would be beneficial to everyone

    Course highlights:

I gained the knowledge on U.S. History on a higher more rigorous course. i have to say it was great learning it all.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say always do your homework, and reread the chapter before you go into the class. And to make sure they have a solid foundation on what there learning. To always stay focus in the class.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a class for those who want to learn about American history. The teacher may be strict but the reward of learning so much about our country makes it all worth it.

    Course highlights:

I learned everything from the reason why each of the 13 colonies were founded, the founders of each colony, and what type of government they had, to the type of community and foreign ties we have in the present era.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to put extra time and effort into not only memorizing the content but understanding it and being able to connect events to one another.
