Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Boatwright did an excellent job of making a required course into something fascinating and useful.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot through conversations with the professor. He makes a lot of effort to make the class interesting and relevant for everyone regardless of major.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Embrace it! I know Comp 150 is required, but with the right professor it can be a really valuable and fun experience.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend this course, not only because it's a prerequisite class but also for the useful lessons taught in the class. Writing was one of the most complicated things for me to do but with the help of this class I could see an improvement in my writing skills.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was writing sufficient papers to meet up the expectations of each topic provided. Starting from the beginning to the end of this course, each essay would be a little more complicated each time. I was able to learn how to express my feelings and put it on paper for others to read.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, attending each class is critical for receiving a passing grade in the course. Follow directions completely and don't take shortcuts because the expectations in the class is very strict. When it comes to doing papers, try to avoid doing them when you're tired because that can lead to you just writing random words down without thinking about what the topic is.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very friendly and is very good at explaining exactly how she would like you to write. It is pretty laid back and as long as you put in effort and turn in everything on time, you will get a good grade.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write more about annotated bibliographies, and how important it is to cite everything.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just show up to class and do your homework. You have to do a lot of easy- class work that counts as points.
