Not too easy. Not too difficult.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love this course and the information that is covered. It is very intriguing learning about how race, class, age, gender and so many more things affect our everyday lives. It's a very basic course and is relative to everyones lives.

    Course highlights:

I think the highlights of this course were applying what I learned to my life and to the society I live in. We learned how to apply sociological theory to things such as race, gender, class, age, family, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to read the chapters because it will be difficult to follow the lectures without prior knowledge. There are also weekly response papers, only one page, but be prepared to spend at least an hour working on it and perfecting it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It gives you insight to social problems. It teaches you what is going on and give you different reason why these things could be going on. It’s nice because there is not one solution it is a bunch on different theories mixed together.

    Course highlights:

Being able to see what is going on in society today and how it reflects history is interesting. We are creatures of habit and this class is able to show you that, it is frightening but helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of writing, however there are some "optional" writing assignments -- you need to have a certain amount of papers so as long as you make that number you can skip some of the papers.
