Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who has a passion for psychology. This course provides the basic foundation any future psychologist needs to start their education. In addition, Dr. Gingerich is one of the most inspiring, passionate people I have ever met and it is a genuine privilege to get to go to class three times a week and learn from her.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of PSY 100 are definitely the anecdotes in class. The course material is beyond interesting, but Professor Gingerich brings it a step further and brings it all to life. She runs surveys in class and shows us relatable videos that are tied back into our learning. For instance, she showed us videos of kittens with cerebellar hypoplasia and explained how that relates to our Cerebellum and one of it's jobs: balance.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I definitely would recommend going to each and every lecture, getting to know Professor Gingerich personally, and using all the resources available to you. Dr. Gingerich provides study guides. In addition, use LaunchPad to complete quizzes as quizzing yourself is a great way to study.

I learned about the brain, bodily systems, how humans perceive the natural world, and how they respond.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot and go to office hours. Tests are tough and specific. Know your terms.
