    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class is an interesting look into how what has happened in the past of our country affects what we enjoy today. Interesting introspection into pop culture and why we have the things that we do today. Usama makes this class very easy and incredibly interesting.

    Course highlights:

Gender ans sexuality in pop culture was my favorite topic as it addressed something that is more recent and affects what happens today. It was able to draw on current events to teach us about the topic.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to lecture! 100% of the material on the tests is in lecture.Pick your group for the group labs wisely as they will make or break the ease of this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a interesting class and different than everything else I was taking so it was nice to have something new in my schedule.

    Course highlights:

We got to look at a lot of different cultures and movies, tv shows, and different things from that culture.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Work well in groups, there are a few group projects. Do the readings because there were pop quizzes and the readings were a majority of the tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was a lot of fun and was hard to skip out on!

    Course highlights:

Learning to analyze different types of communication, and making good friends in the mean time. We did one assignment with music videos that I enjoyed very much.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and pay attention, it might seem unimportant but you'll look back and think on things that you learned years after you took the course.
