    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you're interested in learning about French culture, especially in the Polynesian islands and in northern Africa, which we focused a lot on. Some people disliked the course but honestly if you put in effort to learn the grammar and to see the patterns, the tests and quizzes are easy enough.

    Course highlights:

One of the goals of the class was to improve conversational speaking, which we tried (and I emphasize tried) to do by speaking only French during class. A lot of us struggled a lot but I think I definitely improved my speaking skills and learned how to express myself even when I didn't know the exact words I was looking for. I definitely also learned cooperation skills from the many group projects we had.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Use Quizlet. Ask questions when you need to, it's okay! Put in effort, even just 15 minutes of reviewing grammar or culture a day. There are a lot of art projects - for these, you actually want to set a limit to how much time you spend, otherwise you'll take way too long on them. Participation counts. Raise your hand every time.
