    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP US History was one of the first AP courses I decided to take in my high school career and it was nothing that I expected. What was I expecting? Just a little more challenge than the regular courses I usually take, but it ended up being one of the biggest challenges I faced in this period of time. As someone who learns slower than the others, I felt incapable of taking this course and there were many times where I wanted to quit. So, why would I recommend this course if it sounds like I was miserable? Without AP US History, I would not have grown in my writing or analytical skills; I can now take a scenario and go into more depth with it to convey it with more significance. AP US History is not the easiest course one will take, but I am genuinely blessed that I was given the opportunity to take this course my junior year in high school.

    Course highlights:

Speaking with such great boldness is a factor I obtained taking this course. With many of the discussions, we held through power points, Socratic seminars, and world cafes, I can now speak with confidence about the significance of the past time and history.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Never slack off. If one decides to take this course, know that it will be challenging, but it isn't impossible. This course requires you to read more than usual, so be prepared to be able to analyze well and understand the material.
