    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great way to get more involved with medical terms!

    Course highlights:

Learning about the cardio system was one of my favorite chapters. Getting the opportunity to do a hands on lab let me have a feel for what I would like to do in the future, as a career.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study and actually do your homework. Being able to understand the topics give you a better understanding of the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is extremely fascinating to learn about your body and the scientific terms to it all. We got to dissect a cat and it was interesting learning about the organs and how each system works. I'm not a person that is typically fond of science but this class changed my perspective. In fact, because of this course, I changed what I wanted to major in college so I could become a Dermatologist in the future.

    Course highlights:

I have all 206 bones memorized, like the three bones in our ears: the incus, malleus, and stapes. I have also learned about the different systems in our bodies like the nervous system in which cell nerves and fibers transmit impulses throughout the body. As expected, we also learned more about the sex reproduction. My teacher had a death investigator come and speak with the class which I thought was surreal. My teacher also conducted a powerpoint to numerous classes discussing drugs and it's affects.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have an organization that works best for you and try to maintain a good study habit. Fortunately, the teacher I had was able to also teach us an effective way of note-taking. If you don't obtain that, try looking up Cornell Notes on google or simply ask a teacher. Make sure you study the material and review it everyday for a good amount of time. Do not procrastinate and keep an open mind.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is like no other class I have ever taken before. You get amazing hands on labs regularly and gain knowledge that you find yourself applying to real world situations.

    Course highlights:

One of my favorite memories from this class was the bones unit. It was probably the most difficult, but the most rewarding when you finished it and knew every bone in your body and how it worked.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You will definitely need to put in study hours. Especially in the second semester as the pace increases, you need to commit to at least 15 minutes a night to review and refresh the days lesson.
