    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend it because it was very informative for how the US government works and as a high school student to be educated in how the US political system works is important especially now when there is disaccord within the government right now. It is valued to be informed on what is going on and understanding how it works within the government and this class will help do just that.

    Course highlights:

One of the high highlights of the couse was going through each type of branch in the US government. We spent time analyzing each branch: the legislative, executive, and judicial. This helped to break down how the system works. I also was able to learn a great deal about the election process right before the presidential election so I was able to understand the primaries and the electoral college in a more comprehensive manner.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It is one of those classes where reading the textbook is really important to understanding the material. It is also a class, that since reading is critical and there is a lot of it, if someone is not interested in the US government, it will be a difficult class to succeed in. The reading is dense but interesting if politics is of interest to the person so it really depends on the individual and if, either they like the subject or they are a dedicated student that will read the textbook to follow the class and do well in the class.
