Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is one of the most interesting classes I have taken. You learn about the human mind, body and different things humans do and why. This class is not just like a math or english class. The information you learn in this class could be used everyday and in the near future.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was that it was a lot of hands on assignments and projects. By participating in the assignments and projects I got a better understanding of the human brain and body. Alot of the information I learned was relevant to the real world and I liked that about the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take very good notes for the class to later study. It is a lot of vocabulary and straight out information so if you take good notes, you should ace the test. While taking those notes, I advise you to color code your notes. Do not just write them all in one color, make sure you make it colorful because I learned it keeps the brain intrigued and you tend to learn more and memorize the information better.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class if you are looking to learn something that you feel will actually apply to your life. With some math lessons or history lessons the average bored high school student always whines and says, "When will I even need this in life?" With AP Psychology you will be learning things that not only apply to your actual life, but you will also learn ways in which to improve your life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me was learning about the different parts of the brain that are responsible for every single emotion we feel and how easily it can be altered rather it be with drugs or misinterpretations of situations.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This class won't be a cake walk, the test questions aren't just definitions and who is this guy and what did he discover. In order to succeed, one will have to actually buckle down and participate in lectures, study hard, and fully understand the concepts not just sort of understand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Damschen uses modern and very interesting ways to keep the students aware and very intrigued with the course.

    Course highlights:

A specific activity we did was make structures of the brain out of materials such as playdough and toothpicks. This gave us a good idea on the placement of structures inside of the head.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Follow her color-coding system for the notes taken, i took this class a year ago and still use it.
