    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would strongly recommend this course to anyone wanting to further their writing skills. AP Language contributes to giving the student a better understanding of scholarly books and passages which will be useful in college.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot from this advanced course. My writing from the very beginning of the year compared to the end had improved drastically as my understanding of how to better my style of writing as well as my new ability to break down the literature given had improved.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The main thing needed to be successful in this class is to work your hardest and not to procrastinate because work piles up and deadlines have no exceptions. It's an advanced class so nothing but your best is required of the student.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it expands your vocabulary greatly in the first semester with academic words, and in the second semester, you learn more terms defining figurative devices. It also improves your writing ability greatly in argumentative and analysis essays.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was learning how to write a synthesis essay. I had never heard of this essay before and it didn't require much background information because the essay prompt provides you with six sources to include evidence from.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to take honors english classes before taking this because that will give you a more developed vocabulary and it will go over how to write rhetorical analysis before you enter this course which helps significantly. Also be aware of the timed essays you must write in this class.
