Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Fun course that incorporates many labs and activities. Very educational, and always interactive with projects or videos to watch. Good for those looking to pursue a career in Biology or for those who just have interest in the subject.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about our ecosystem and its fundamental values, how it operates, and how we as society effects its growth and substance of maintaining life. Highlights of the class were always labs, my personal favorites were those that included microscopes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes and pay attention! Also, try to keep good attendance, for its difficult to make up labs, and puts you at a disadvantage without learning that specific material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course due to the heavy hands on activities and labs preformed daily. This class keeps your mind and body engaged which makes everyday interesting. Personally, my favorite labs were looking at enzymes through microscopes and identifying different specimens. This is a great class for those interested in learning how things work biologically.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about genetics in this class, which opened my eyes to the way people are. We studied different genetic diseases and broke down the basics of DNA. A highlight from the course was the detailed labs we worked on weekly. I enjoyed all the units we studied, including ecosystems and genetic mutations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to attend every class, falling behind in labs can be difficult to make up. Always take notes. Pay attention during powerpoint, no matter how boring, because they offer a lot of necessary information. I would also advise participating in group work and labs, so you develop a full understanding of the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The only reason I would suggest to not take this course would be if you strongly disliked biology or if you are opposed to hard work. Besides that, this course is a fantastic experience. If you dedicate the time and effort into AP Biology, you will be a successful student in that class. Also, the material is incredibly interesting.

    Course highlights:

I have never learned so much from a class before. Personally, my favorite unit was Ecology, where we learned about natural selection and how animal populations changed based on their natural surroundings.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you dedicate a certain amount of time per week to complete the homework assignments. Although they can be long and tedious, the better your homework is, the better you will do for that unit. Slacking off on homework and studying only hurts you in the long run.
