    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The only reason I would suggest to not take this course would be if you strongly disliked biology or if you are opposed to hard work. Besides that, this course is a fantastic experience. If you dedicate the time and effort into AP Biology, you will be a successful student in that class. Also, the material is incredibly interesting.

    Course highlights:

I have never learned so much from a class before. Personally, my favorite unit was Ecology, where we learned about natural selection and how animal populations changed based on their natural surroundings.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you dedicate a certain amount of time per week to complete the homework assignments. Although they can be long and tedious, the better your homework is, the better you will do for that unit. Slacking off on homework and studying only hurts you in the long run.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Many different topics were covered throughout the course, which kept it at a faster pace, but also made it more enjoyable by not lingering on certain areas. It was a very interactive course, we conducted many labs and made/presented powerpoints frequently. We also had the opportunity to watch a lot of interesting videos pertaining to each unit.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the labs, inspecting bacteria was my favorite. I learned about bacteria's environments and how they effect the environment. We did a unit on diseases which I enjoyed, it was interesting learning about sicknesses you've heard of but didn't really know.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes, and pay attention! Learn all the vocabulary in the beginning of the unit, it will help a lot, and participate in the labs. Hands on activities really help you grasp the key concepts, so try not to skip too many. As always, ask questions whenever you don't understand, falling behind is hard to recover from in this quick pace class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would only recommend this class if you enjoy science and biology, I don't prefer science, so I had trouble focussing and learning the subject. It is not a difficult class, we watched a lot of videos and did presentations. The course covered the ecosystem, molecular biology, earth science, and incorporated anatomy, and human health.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the youtube videos and using microscopes. I learned all about the ecosystem, including populations, families, species, and the different types of ecosystems. We also did a unit on diseases, which was one of the topics I found very interesting, we did presentations on a disease, and the information about how the pathogens infect us really struck me as intriguing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study vocabulary, it will help so much to know all the terms well. If you participate in class, you will be able to understand all the material, it isn't challenging. I recommend sitting in the front of the class, it can be difficult to see demonstrations from the back. Also, try not to miss labs! Those can be hard to make up sometimes.
