    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a very difficult course, yet it did help me prepare for a more heavy work load and taught me how to truly focus and manage my time efficiently.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course include in depth discussion about the significant events in our history, yet we learned the material in very short fragments of time.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your work load and do not just study from your worksheets, you must go further in depth and truly understand the information and be able to make connections.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it has taught me vital study habits that are essential for success in an academic atmosphere. Although it is a rigorous course, I find myself enjoying the time spent studying and in class, making me want to learn more. In addition, the teacher is very engaging and aids throughout every process or your learning.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of this course were studying the United States National Bank and how it has changed over the years. Although I was not aware, it was an extremely controversial part of our government and had been debated over for decades. Also, at one point it was even destroyed by Andrew Jackson, which I had not known before taking this class, Finally, I learned the debates between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson and the disparity between the two.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you must have good study habits and take good notes in class. In addition, you need to plan out your schedule well, due to the fact there is a test every week that will require a couple hours of your attention. Finally, to be successful you will need to have a desire to learn, for if you can not become engaged when studying you will have a very difficult time grasping the concepts.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives general knowledge and extends upon that knowledge about the history of the united states starting with Colombus and ending at present day. This is an excellent course though rigorous because it teaches vital information about our country and I feel that is an important part of education

    Course highlights:

Through this course I gained not only numerous information about American history, I gained intereting facts and stories and experiences as well. I learned about all the wars from the Spanish-American war to the Vietnam war. I learned about mob bosses such as Al Capone. I learned about all the elections, campaigns, and scandals from Abraham Lincoln to Teddy Roosevelt to Watergate. This course was interesting not only from learning about facts and life but from acting them out to become more involved in how life was back then.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to take good notes. This course will be hard and it is vital to do your homework because it will certainly help you in the long run and when studying for tests. Do not get discouraged if you are not doing to well, everybody learns differently. You just have to believe in yourself. It helps to relate matters to how you see them, if you are a visual learner then look at powerpoints, if you are an auditory learner then listen to definitions and account of the information, and if you learn better by writing down information then make a study guide. Alwys believe in yourself no matter what and remeber that one bad grade will not define your future.
