    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In this class you will learn about the Department of Homeland Security.

    Course highlights:

I learned what their mission statement is, their organizational structure, among other things.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You will have to read through information on the Homeland Security website, some of it can be confusing. It is interesting though.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was an excellent course that was chock full of valuable information that opens your mind to the different aspects involved in Homeland Security and there are a lot of them. Much more than I figured there would be when I first started this course.

    Course highlights:

Learning the different missions involved in homeland security and there definitions, learning the 16 components that make up the Department of Homeland Security, learning about FEMA and its objectives, as well as the Partnerships in Private Enterprise in the Protection of Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Even though it is a tedious course it has very valuable information and should be paid attention to for future references. I took a lot of notes in this class and it has served me in other classes.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Understanding the background on Homeland Security is essential to understand the Criminal Justice system.

    Course highlights:

I thought I understood a lot about Homeland Security until I took this course and learned specifically that the United States Secret Service was reassigned to the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Treasury. This makes sense since they are primarily a security group.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to find out information you likely did not know about Homeland Security and accept that this course requires no written papers.
