This course provided a lot of information on starting to use C++ as well as steps to developing solutions by using programming in general.
In addition to learning some C++ programming (basics), you learn to use a couple of IDEs that assist in compiling the programming and letting you see the results of what you are working with (DevC++, MinGW, and Eclipse).

Make sure that you at least have a basic understanding of how programming works and the analytical approach that will be needed to work through the logic needed to be able to program.
