Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had really no clue how MySQL / MS SQL which are database programs work. I work in a large company and we have an entire team dedicated to database support and concepts. This class gave me the insight how databases work.

    Course highlights:

How to perform database design How to perform database queries Database maintenance Translating end user's needs or developer's needs and creating a database to serve their needs.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you do not know databases already, spend alot of time reading the class material. I also supplemented the reading with watching YouTube videos. If you have a decent understanding of networking, this shouldn't be terrible.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Iles is a very helpful instructor, and he always makes sure you have all the tools necessary to complete assignments in the time allotted.

    Course highlights:

In this course you are building a database in Microsoft Access. If you are unfamiliar with the software like I was, this is a great course to take in order to learn to use it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You should attend the live chat sessions, as your instructor will provide information that is crucial to completing your assignment, and do not be afraid to ask questions. If you cannot attend, be sure to view it in the archive and email your instructor with any questions you have.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a challenging course that not only enlightens your thought process but also allows you to gain lots of information within the IT and DBDLC or SDLC it is a broad course that introduces you to creating a life cycle outline as well as creating the database to go with it.

    Course highlights:

I would have to say a major highlight was learning to use ACCESS this database program is fairly easier to use as compared to SQL once you learn how to use it properly, creating relationships seemed to be a task at first for me because i personally was overthinking , so my advice would be take it as it is and do not overthink the simplicity of the application.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell the next person to pay attention to the assignment outlines and to use all the resources they have available , and to also be prepared to have time they can dedicate to this course so they can take the information in and fully understand it and they should do well
