    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was clearly necessary for the degree in IT. Taking this class was absolutely challenging and has taught me so much. It was challenging in the aspect of using a lot of creative juices for multiple assignments. The professor was very informative and was quick in responses to all the questions I had.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course included creating testing and quality assurance plans, proposals for a development strategies, and system and application designs. I learned how to successfully create a mock system design, create a plan for testing and quality assurance and create an accurate development strategy.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Other advice I would give to students taking this course is don't be afraid to do outside research, always go in with an open mind to learn and don't burn yourself out on all the information. One thing I definitely had to do was breathe and make sure to take the points of the assignment one at a time because sometimes it did become overwhelming.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class provides a good start on truly learning SDLC and provides better understanding on what goes into creating a system/application.

    Course highlights:

Structured approach for developing requirements, performing analysis, producing the design, coding or installation of the solution, testing the application and installing the final product.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Prof Durgin did a amazing job discussing the subject. The project itself can either be easy or hard depending on what you want to do for your individual assignment.
