    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because of the rigor. The toughness keeps one on their toes and stimulates their brain to always work.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to dig deeper and to analyze both text and movies. The vocabulary is very refreshing if you want to become more flexible with your words.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Awesome teacher. If you pay attention and are willing to learn, you will gain a lot if knowledge. Be on time and always prepared. You can also always ask him for extra help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because even though you don't use the English subject in every day life, this course teaches you about dedication. In order to pass the AP english test, you have to be dedicated and work very hard. This class also taught me that hard work pays off and to never give up.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to properly analyze a poem and literature. I learned how to read Shakespeare, something I never though I'd be able to do. Some of my highlights is having discussions about what we believe that text means, it was very interesting seeing others' approaches.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to try hard. If you don't actually want to take this class, then don't. You have to be passionate and hardworking in order to do well and sometimes get out of your comfort zone. Also, you have to be able to admit that you can be wrong.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course because it teaches students how to properly write an essay. That is the main thing that I learned from that class. I started to enjoy writing because over the course of the class we were taking about subjects that I enjoy.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was when we read the play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Reading this play made me realize that I truly enjoy reading. I got to pick this book out of a list of books and I enjoyed reading and writing about it. I learned that if you love a book, reading and writing about it is easier.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them that they should take it, if they have time to work for hours a week on reading and writing. At first I was afraid of this class because I am not a very strong reader, but this class made me see the best side of an English class.
