    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is not a very interesting or fun class, but it helps you understand what will happen when you go out on your own, and how you use your money.

    Course highlights:

I have learned supply and demand laws and employment rates that have led me to understand that the market is anything but simple.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do whatever the teacher tells you to do, study what they tell you to study, because it will help in the long run.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this because it allows you to be reminded of the different supreme court cases. His text are really easy if you study all your notes and vocabulary.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of vocabulary that makes you aware of the court system and a lot of procedures that takes place legally such as the process of turning a bill into a law.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You really need to study the vocabulary and the notes he gives because a lot of it will be on the test. Also do all his assignments that he gives you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Taking AP Gov is important because it expands upon one's knowledge of the world. Government is important to create a well rounded citizen that can become active in their government, whether that is at a city, state, or federal level.

    Course highlights:

The course highlighted how the court system works. Appellate Courts, something I previously did not understand, were gone over in great detail and how judges were appointed came to light. Articles within the Constitution were also touched upon, helping students to understand exactly what one's freedoms are and how certain case rulings have created predetermined views on how certain Articles and Acts should be taken.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have taken US History, then Government, whether it be AP or not, will come more easily as it touches on a lot of how American came to be. The only difference is that the cases and aspects briefly touched in US History go into much more detail in Gov, talking about the Bill of Rights, the branches of government, and other aspects of it. Without US History, a great deal of reading would be needed to be able to understand what is being discussed though either way, it is a good idea to always do the reading as the government is a complicated machine with many parts working together and against each other.
